The four laws of plastic deformation of titanium alloy forgings

Titanium forgings follow the following basic laws in plastic deformation:
 
  1, the law of tangential stress
 
  Forging under the action of external forces, only when its internal shear stress reaches a critical value, it is possible to produce plastic deformation. The size of the critical shear stress depends on the type of forging (composition, organization) and deformation conditions (deformation temperature, degree of deformation, etc.) so the law of shear stress is related to plastic deformation is a very important basic law.
 
  2, the law of volume invariance
 
  Forging in plastic deformation to keep the volume unchanged. However, in the actual forging production, ingots and other billets within the loose and cracked by forging after compaction, forging blanks density increases, the volume decreased slightly; and in the cold deformation of the forging becomes looser, the volume increased slightly; but these small changes can be ignored. Thus, the law of volume invariance is one of the important basis for calculating the size of the forging blank, process size and design of the mold.
 
  3, the law of small resistance

  4, the law of elastic deformation

  Metal under the action of external forces, the size of the deformation and cancel the size of the external force is not equal. However, the rebound phenomenon of metal in thermal deformation is negligible due to good plasticity and small elastic deformation.
